Stockport First team who are the current County Champions are unable to defend the trophy they won after an epic final against Wirral last year after the powers that be were unable to come up with a date suitable to hold the final after it was felt an end of season cup final would compromise the Mens County team.

The club are dismayed at the lack of interest in the Cup by Cheshire and it may be the case that we are the County Champions for eternity as we have no faith in the County to organise and facilitate what is a magnificent Cup to a conclusion.
