Stockport First XV became the first team to lower Anselmians colours this season in a must win game for Port.

In a dominant first half tries from Skipper Sam Grady Graham, Rory Atwill and Tom Hughes saw Port go into the break with a precious 19-0 lead.
The second half though was an altogether different event as the Wirral side showed why they have led the Division from the start as they battled back with two tries to put Stockport very much on the back foot however despite a nervous last 10 minutes the boys closed the game out for the best win of the season before a very good Headlands Road crowd.

Man of the match for Port was flanker Dom Sheratte whose dominant tackling performance constantly put Anselmians on the back foot.

Next Saturday Port travel to Long Eaton where league position will count for nothing in another must win game for the lads.
