It is with deep heart that I have to inform friends and club members that Paul "Shirley" Sherwood has sadly passed away on the 9th December.
He lost the battle with cancer. Having been ill for for the last 18 months he passed away peacefully at home with his wife of 43 years Alison and his daughter Karrie and son Alex by his side.
Shirley" has been a member of the club for over 30 years. He's played in various teams, with great enthusiasm both on and off the pitch.

He was a great character, funny, caring and generally a Top bloke.

I've had the pleasure of touring with him for The Bulldogs and a smaller number of us going to Hong Kong 7's, back in 2003.

Always up for a laugh with the lads, but also great family man helping Alex through the mini & juniors and being there for Karrie when needed.

He will be sadly missed.
