Stockport 1st XV secured the League title a few weeks ago when there were still 4 games in hand but the trophy was presented after last weeks resounding 43-0 victory over Vale of Lune at Headland Road.

The Vale players acknowledged Stockport's succes with a guard of honour for the players as they ran out at the start of the game.

Just 1 game remains to play away at Penrirth next weekend to conclude a historic season for Stockport. To quote Coach Tom Eaton ... "lots of teams win championships but few have the chance to do it unbeaten".

At the same time, after struggling for the last few seasons, Stockport 2's finally came good this year securing promotion to the Premier League and a final away game at Wirral. Congratulations are due to Jonny Mac and his squad for an outstanding achievement.
