Stockport won through to the semi final of the Cheshire cup with an excellent 24-39 win at Northwich. After the 4 tries to 1 win over Lymm in the midweek friendly, head coach Tom Eaton rested all but 4 of the squad who faced Lymm confident that the depth of this years squad would be enought to compete with a Northwich team shorn of their overseas talent and so it proved with Port coming away with a superb win to move into the Cheshire Cup semi final.

Second row George Martin & Lawrence Hiney put in a great shift with a plentiful supply of lineout ball that saw Aaran Perry & Mogan Mohring cause huge problems for the home defence.

Man of the match for Port was Aaran Perry whose telling breaks and big hits set the platform for the win.

Last but not least big thanks to Jenkin Whittaker who after 2 late cry offs answered the late call up.
