Not the 'cleanest' of games for the lads today but some excellent phases of play and a great watch for the spectators.
Sale went over first with a nicely run try, but the Spitfire resilience was ever present equalising within a few minutes. The lads ran the ball well at times however at times stood away from the contact at the breakdown and lost possession. Some great tackles were made and we carried the ball well playing some really nicely worked rugby.
Scoring 'ping-pong' continued until spitfires scored a nice brace of tries and Sale FC heads started to bow.
The resilience of the lads not to give in and continue to work hard was ever present resulting in another good win, now four wins on the bounce.
Some work to take back to the training field, but in all a great effort from all of the lads with a few bruises and injuries to remember the contest!
Well played Spitfires, still moving in the right direction!
