5. Our Club & Facilities

Club house
As previously mentioned the clubhouse is used for many other events and functions and ask that the approach to the TREDS on the pitch filters through to the clubhouse, including the changing rooms. If changing rooms are used (from U13’s +) it is the coaches responsibility to ensure the following is carried out after each use –
Changing rooms and shared spaces (ie corridors, showers) are swept and left tidy
Bins emptied
All lights off
All doors locked, all junior head coaches are supplied with a set of keys.
The bar is open for soft drinks and snacks on Sunday’s from 10.00am then from 12.00 to serve alcohol. A coffee machine is accessible from 9.30am. The kitchen is open serving bacon and sausage barm’s and cups of tea 10.00am to 11.45am. From 12.00 the staff are then serving the children’s after match snack; from week to week this can either be a bag of chips, a tray pasta bake or a hot dog.
All home teams must liaise with the club steward by Wednesday, informing of catering numbers for your own squad and your opponents, this obviously assists with food management.
We encourage all to pop up for a social drink after the morning of rugby, whether it be a cup of tea, soft drink from the bar or a G&T from our very wide range of gins! Historically, it has been proven that the stonger bonded age groups are those who stay for these social gatherings, great for the children too, who continue to play outside or chat inside, building those lasting friendships.
Our Five rules – Encourage the TREADS on the pitch approach, upstairs too!!!
No dogs upstairs please
No rugby boots OR muddy footwear to be worn in the clubhouse – encourage children to change them downstairs to prevent cluttering the doorway with boots. It’s also advisable for a change of clothes for wet/muddy days so they don’t sit on the furniture! (Includes training nights and coaches too)
Be patient and polite to staff
Clear tables after use, sweet papers, empty drink cartons etc
Enjoy yourself!
